Waterproof Construction
When water enters footwear, it creates a differing friction that can result in blistering and discomfort. Wet footwear is also an ideal habitat for fungal and bacteriological growth–causing odor, and deterioration of the product. We use specially treated leather and upper materials, then, working from the inside to keep water from entering – membranes, waterproof tapes or sealants are applied to all seamed areas.

Just like regular Thinsulate™, it is lightweight, breathable and moisture-resistant. But Thinsulate™ Ultra insulation goes one step further. It is loftier and thicker than original Thinsulate insulation-for even greater warmth and comfort. Yet still thin enough to allow complete freedom of movement.
